    I returned a short term car lease recently and have been billed for a poor previous repair. I had this done at my friends bodyshop and cannot provide a receipt or proof of work as I paid cash in hand.

    Can I argue it as I was told it was not up to the correct standard



    It is your resposibility to ensure that the work carried out is to the standard as laid out in the contract. Most contracts will state that you will need to have the vehicle repaired by a manufacturer approved bodyshop.

    Your arguement should be with the bodyshop that carried out the poor repairs and if this went to court with the short term car lease company, the chances are that you would lose.
